Quinn Lentz

1. Tell us a bit about yourself! What perspectives, skills, or experiences are you most proud to bring to PBFA/I?
A mission-driven career has always been my top priority. I got my start with community organizations, including a small community garden and the YMCA, and I spent the last several years managing events and fundraising for a local animal shelter. Thanks to the wonderful organizations I’ve worked for in the past, I’m a resourceful and creative problem solver. I look forward to bringing those talents to PBFA!
2. What is your role with PBFA?
As Senior Coordinator, Member Relations I’ll be supporting the membership team in providing our members the best experience possible through creating and improving internal processes. I’ll also be ensuring programs and events go off without a hitch!
3. What inspired you to get into your line of work? How does this connect to your “why” for working in the plant-based industry/food systems?
During my education, I developed a passion for creating a more equitable, sustainable, and humane food system. Coupled with my lifelong love for animals, I felt naturally drawn to a plant-based diet.
As a vegan, I already closely follow industry developments and news because I love trying and spreading the word about plant-based foods, so I couldn’t be more excited to be part of the team working to support and elevate the businesses creating these products!
4. Take your pick! Answer one of the following: What’s your favorite: Dish, Hobby, Inspirational Quote, Book, or Animal?
Eating Animals by Jonathan Safran Foer had a profound impact on me when I first became vegan and it’s the book I always recommend when someone is interested in learning more about our food system. It’s so well researched and really accessible to anyone at any point in their journey to consuming more plant-based foods!
